The current technology roadmap 2.0 for energy-saving and new energy vehicles has been officially released. China is moving towards the goal of transforming the auto industry into electric vehicles by 2035. Although the current status of hybrid energy continues to improve, the direction of electric conversion is unstoppable, and the lithium battery-related industries driven by it are becoming more and more popular.
Of course, the application of lithium batteries is not only in the automotive field, but is more and more widely used in the domestic bicycle field and two-wheeled electric vehicle field; the new energy mechanism will become the mainstream of the next era.
In terms of automotive applications, lithium batteries have been tried in cars as early as 2008.
In 2008, it was assembled in Passat hybrid vehicles to serve the Beijing Olympics; in 2014, it began to formally develop the electric vehicle market and reached a cooperation with Dongfeng Xiaokang; and this year, Xingheng Power became the core power of the annual best-selling model SAIC-GM-Wuling Hongguang MINI EV supplier.
In 2021-2022, my country's light-duty electric vehicle market will have a peak sales volume of approximately 45-50 million units per year. Another agency predicts that as the penetration rate of lithium batteries in the two-wheeler market continues to increase and the share of power tool battery suppliers increases, domestic shipments of small power batteries are expected to reach 48GWh in 2025.
In the field of new energy vehicles, according to the roadmap plan, by 2035, sales of energy-saving vehicles and new energy vehicles will each account for 50%. Giants such as Volkswagen and BMW have also entered the market. Before the new national standard, there were more than 1,000 manufacturers in my country's electric bicycle market that held production licenses. After the new national standard, as of the end of 2019, only more than 700 companies have obtained more than 4,700 electric bicycle CCC certification certificates
Whether it is the "mid-to-high-end" path of traditional lithium battery suppliers or giants exploring emerging markets, an accelerated reshuffle of the lithium battery industry is gaining momentum.
